Monitor fiber channel path availability on Unix (AIX) servers

Install via the Extension Manager

Uses the pcmpath & Lspath commands to check Fiber Channel Path Availability.

Agent-side Script Installation

1. Download the Agent Side Scripts linked above.
2. Place the fiber_channel_unix.ksh file in the directory /opt/uptime-agent/scripts/ on the remote agent system. (create the directory if needed)

3. Create/edit the following password file on the agent system:

   /opt/uptime-agent/bin/.uptmpasswd
   

   and add the following line to it:

   fc_monitor   /opt/uptime-agent/scripts/fiber_channel_unix.ksh
   

4. Provide the fc_monitor as the Agent Password when configuring the monitor.
